REFERENCE NO. 10 OF 2023 MALE H. MABIRIZI K. KIWANUKA V. THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OF THE REPUBLIC OF UGANDA

The Applicant alleges that the Respondent’s State actions, decisions & proceedings of Parliament of the Respondent State in relation the Anti-Homosexuality Bill, 2023, the resultant Presidential Assent, publication, commencement and Enforcement of the Anti-Homosexuality Act 2023 are unlawful and infringements on the fundamental and operational principles of the Community guaranteed under Articles 6(d) and 7(2) of the Treaty for the Establishment of the East African Community.
