Case Number | REFERENCE NO. 16 OF 2023 |
Summary | The Applicant alleges that the Respondent state’s government has contravened various provisions of both its Constitution and the Community’s Treaty by its failure to commence the relevant legal procedures against judges involved in gross misconduct by excluding the president’s driving permit from disclosure in a case where the applicant deemed that information relevant as well as the decision of the government to ban all old passports before their expiry dates, the passing of the Anti-Homosexuality Act despite a pending case challenging its validity and an array of other issues all contravene the principles of democracy, the rule of law, accountability, transparency and social justice all guaranteed under Articles 6(d) and 7(2) of the Treaty.
