REFERENCE NO. 20 OF 2022 MALE H. MABIRIZI K. KIWANUKA v. THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OF THE REPUBLIC OF UGANDA

The Applicant alleges that the Respondent acts/omissions through its agents Uganda High Court Civil Division Judge Boniface Wamala’s conduct of proceedings in Application Number’s 89, 90, & 91 of 2022; Uganda Cabinet’s and Parliament’s interpretations with regard to business upon death of the speaker of Parliament; the Chief Justice’s act of visiting the Kabaka of Buganda when had a pending matter before the Supreme Court and; the actions of the Uganda prison service, officer in charge Kitalya Mini Max Prison and commissioner general of prisons for confiscation and detaining of various papers belonging to the Applicant, denying access of internet for research purposes and forceful transfer of the Applicant to another prison without notice, Denial of the Applicant requirements by Magistrate Grade 1 Mengo infringe the fundamental and operational principles of the Community under Article 6(d) and 7(2) of the Treaty for the Establishment of East African Community as well as several Provisions and Principles of the Common Market Protocol.
