REFERENCE NO. 26 OF 2020 PAN AFRICAN LAWYERS UNION (PALU) v. THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OF THE REPUBLIC OF SOUTH SUDAN

The Applicant alleges that the Respondent’s actions of; unlawful arrest, enforced disappearance, arbitrary detention, severe torture, unlawful confiscation of property, unfair trial, unlawful surveillance, threats and intimidation with the climax being the illegal murder and possibly indecent disposal of the mortal remains of Mr. Kerbino Wol violates the fundamental principles under Articles 6(d), 7(2), and 8(1)(c) of the Treaty for the Establishment of the East African Community, Art. 15(1) of the EAC Common Market Protocol, and Rules 1(2) and 25 of the East African Court of Justice Rules of Procedure 2019.
