REFERENCE NO. 33 OF 2021 HON. MARGARET ZZIWA v. THE SECRETARY GENERAL OF EAST AFRICAN COMMUNITY

The Applicant alleges that the failure by the Respondent to implement the Judgment delivered by The East African Court of Justice in Taxation Cause No. 1 & 2 of 2019 (Arising from Appeal No.7 of 2015) and Taxation Cause No. 1 of 2019 (Arising from Reference No. 17 of 2014): RT Hon. Dr Margaret Zziwa v. The Secretary General of The East African Community awarding her the total sum of USD 586, 261.66 to be paid to her by the Respondent is an infringement of Article 38 of the Treaty for the Establishment of the East African Community.
