It is with deep sorrow that we received the news of the sudden death of Hon. Dr Shogo R. Mlozi Sedoyeka, Member of the East African Legislative Assembly, which occurred on 13th June, 2024 in Arusha, Tanzania.
On behalf of the East African Court of Justice (EACJ) and on my own behalf, I wish to extend my heartfelt condolences to the Members and Staff of the East African Legislative Assembly, the family, relatives and friends of the late Hon. Dr. Shogo, on her passing.
The Assembly has lost a remarkable Member who, through dedication and commitment left an indelible mark as a legislator. Her invaluable contribution to the integration agenda have been significant and are acknowledged by those who had the privilege of working with her and knowing her.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family, the Members and staff of EALA, the government and the people of the United Republic of Tanzania. May you find comfort in the cherished memories you shared and the legacy Dr. Shogo leaves behind.
