Summary

The Applicants allege that the Respondent’s enactment of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in dealing with Covid 19 pandemic and enforcement by the Ministry of Health on the reopening of religious places of worship are discriminatory and violate Article 21 of the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda, 1995 therefore limiting religious freedoms are in violation of the fundamental principles, operational principles and undertakings under Articles 6(d), 7(2), 8(1)(a)&(c) of the Treaty for the Establishment of the East African Community.
