REFERENCE NO. 35 OF 2021 WASSWA BERNARD AND ANOTHER v. THE SECRETARY GENERAL OF EAST AFRICAN COMMUNITY

The Applicants allege that the Decision of the 42^nd Extra-Ordinary Meeting of the Council of Ministers held on 7^th May, 2021 in Arusha, Tanzania directing the Secretariat to commence recruitment of about 50 staff for the various organs and institutions; reconstituting the panel for conducting the said interviews; and the process of recruitment infringe Articles14(3)(g);6(d)(e); 7(1)(c)&(f); 30(1) & (2); 31; 49(2)(f); 69(1)&(2); 70; 71(4) of the Treaty for the Establishment of the East African Community.
