The Applicant alleges that the Respondents’ States continued neglect and/or refusal to protect their citizens from and/or slave trade slavery and servitude torture and trafficking with young people, girls/women being taken to work as house maids, slaves or sex worker in the Arab World and parts of Asia is a failure to uphold their duties under the Constitutions and therefore a violation of Articles 6(d), 7(2) and 8(1)(a) of The Treaty for Establishment of East African Community.
