REFERENCE NO. 27 OF 2022 ROBERT MUKOMBOZI v. THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OF THE REPUBLIC OF UGANDA

The Applicant alleges that the act of the Respondent State through its security agents of arbitrarily arresting, restraining, and prohibiting the Applicant from entering Uganda by holding him incommunicado in the offices of the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence whereafter he was forced out of the country against his will is in violation of his fundamental rights in a country where he is a citizen and therefore an infringement of the rule of law and good governance under Articles 6(d) and 7(2) of the Treaty for the Establishment of the East African Community.
