REFERENCE NO. 18 OF 2022 OCHEN JULIUS & 4,000 OTHERS v. THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OF THE REPUBLIC OF UGANDA

The Applicant alleges that the Respondent’s omission to, refuse/ failure to disarm the Karimojong warriors in the Northern part of Uganda violates the constitutional obligation to its people; that the act of the Respondent to refuse/fail to protect the people of Teso is an infringement of the Applicants rights to protection of life, right to family, right to education, social economic rights go against the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda and therefore contravenes Article 6(d) and 7(2) of the Treaty for the Establishment of East African Community.
